Il progetto
GIOGU DE CONTUS (giogo di racconti) è un concerto solista di musiche originali per chitarra classica e chitarra sardo-campidanese
Il racconto di un percorso di ricerca sulle forme, le metriche e i timbri della musica popolare sarda, in particolare del repertorio per launeddas. Un vero e proprio viaggio in una musica nuova in cui sia però riconoscibile una forte matrice identitaria, una maniera, cioè, “sarda” di pensare e organizzare i suoni, al riparo dalla logica del souvenir e del facile saccheggio del materiale musicale tradizionale preesistente. E così allo strumento classico – a cui si affida l’esecuzione di composizioni scritte e fissate in partitura – si affianca la voce rurale e metallica della piccola “terzina” campidanese per esplorarne le sonorità al di fuori del repertorio tradizionale e restituirla, possibilmente intatta, al panorama sonoro attuale.

Negli ultimi anni ha orientato il suo impegno compositivo verso la ricerca e la rielaborazione degli archetipi formali della musica popolare sarda.
Il primo frutto di questo percorso è stata “S’acabbadòra”, per chitarra sola, che ha ricevuto il 2° premio al concorso internazionale di composizione “Brescia Chitarra Contemporanea 2008” ed è in catalogo tra le edizioni Bérben.
